This list is to give you an idea of the types of yoga available for one-on-one or small group instruction. This is not a complete list as each session is designed specifically for student and their current goals. Please contact us for any questions on private lessons.
Beginner Yoga - Learn the basics at your own pace. In these sessions we will focus on the foundational postures of yoga and correct alignment. This is tailored completely for you and your personal goals.
Yoga for Relaxation/Stress Relief - Want to relieve some of that stress and/or anxiety going on in a quiet and relaxing space? A one-on-one session can be a great way to just get away from it all for an hour or so in the peaceful and safe space of the studio. This class will be of the slow and restorative variety but can be tailored to your needs for the day. Breathing techniques and meditation can also be part of this private session and are great methods to clear the mind and help you relax.
Power Up for Power Yoga - Want to try power yoga but maybe in a one-on-one setting? This type of yoga will get your heart pumping and the sweat dripping. Knowledge of the postures are not needed as we will work with you every step of the way in this guided lesson. The postures will be demonstrated and explained, and assists will be given for proper alignment.
Yoga for Seniors - This type of session is geared toward those 55+ with or without yoga experience. These sessions are tailored for each specific student and modifications will be given, where needed, for postures to improve balance and stability, core strength, flexibility and joint health. Breathing exercises are also recommended to improve lung capacity and respiration.
Chair Yoga - An extremely gentle form of yoga designed for those that are not able to participate in a traditional yoga class due to various health reasons. This type of yoga is also great for those who spend many hours of the day working in a chair as these techniques can be used throughout the workday to relieve pressure and pain and increase spinal mobility. Anyone that is able to sit is able to do chair yoga! The student can use the chair to sit and perform various yoga postures and breathing techniques, or stand to use the chair as a prop for balance. These sessions are tailored to each individual student to meet their personal goals.
Deepening - Have you been practicing yoga for a while and want to work on technique? This type of private lesson allows you to work on deepening whatever aspect of yoga you need at the time. This could be extra assists to help with proper alignment or perhaps work on arm balances or specific binds/flexibility. This class is designed to address and deepen your specific personal practice and help meet your current goals.
Standup Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga - We offer seasonal SUP yoga lessons for individuals or small groups. Please see our Paddleboard Yoga page for more details.
Private sessions (with the exception of SUP Yoga) are 1 hour and 15 minutes. SUP Yoga classes are 2.5 hours.
